While she was acting in the film Goa, there was news in
Kodambakkam that she fell in love with the comedy actor Premgi.
Last April, Premgi had tweeted that he was in love with Piya and
because of this there was a great sensation. Piya while speaking
about this said, "All these things started happening on April
Fool’s day.
This news erupted when Premgi mentioned that
he was in love with me in his social website. I asked him to
remove that. By then people started speaking about her love. We
are not in love with each other. There is no truth in that news.

I was made a scapegoat in this problem. Currently I am acting in
the Tamil film Sattam Oru Iruttarai and in the Malayalam film
Masters. I am also acting in a Hindi film. I am also donning a
role of a traditional Brahmin girl in the film. I am getting
lots of offers but I am selecting good roles and accepting
