Bala-Shaam, because of circumstances involving the rape and suicide of his little sister-Santoshi, has become a rowdy who is working for the gangster Pasupati-Dev. Pasupati has an on-going rivalry with the rowdy Jeyamani-Raguvaran. Not surprisingly, Bala falls in love with Jeyamani's daughter, Aarthi-Meera Jasmine.

Meanwhile, ailing don Paranthaman-Thilakan wants to get Pasupati and Jeyamani back together, seeing as how they used to be friends and not rivals. He arranges the marriage between Pasupati's son and Aarthi. Jeyamani and Pasupati agree, sealing their differences.

So now Bala, who wants Aarthi for himself, finds himself hunted by both camps. Will he get the girl? How?
