Kalloori Vaasal is a college film directed by Pavithran. The film featured Ajith Kumar and Pooja Bhatt in the lead roles with Prashanth, Devayani and Manivannan in other supporting roles. The film was later dubbed and released in Telugu as College Gate despite the Tamil version's average fare commercially.
