Mohan was known as the
"silver jubilee hero" in the 1980s based on the success of
movies that he starred in. His nickname 'Mike' Mohan owes to
the fact that he performed as a stage musician with a
hand-held microphone in virtually all of his movies.
He usually played decent roles in films and one of the plus
point is that he resembles Kamal Hasan, to some extent. He
is a lucky cine Actor since the songs in his films are super
hit. Surender used to voice this actor. S.P. Bala singer
used to praise him since he brings out the full expression
required for the songs.
Mohan debuted in the 1977 Kannada language film, Kokila,
