Seetha-Parthiban Split: Tamil actor-director Parthiban and his wife former actress Seetha have legally applied for divorce by mutual consent. In an interview to a daily Seetha explained the reasons for their separation. "My husband’s numerous affairs has forced me to take this decision" she confided". She also denied the alleged relationship with a TV actor. The couple had met during the making of Pudiya Paadhai, Parthibans first directorial venture that won National Award. Seetha played his female lead then.

The Parthiban-Seetha love affair had to face stiff challenges before the nuptial knot was tied. They have three children Abhinaya, Keerthana (National Award winner for Kannathil Mutthamitaal) and Radhakrishnan, of whom the last was adopted. What seemed to be a happy marriage for 14 years has hit the rocks and now landed in divorce. As per the divorce petition filed at the family court, the mother has asked for the custody of Abhinaya while the father would take care of Keerthana and Radhakrishan.
