Ashokan, who had been working as an assistant director with ace director Murugadoss for the past few years, will soon be making his debut in tinsel town as director. Asokan is all set to turn director with a film titled Kamban Kazhagam whos shooting has just been wrapped up. In what is touted as a grand ‘double’ for Asokan, he has also produced the film besides directing it.

“The script is about the changes a care-free youth undergoes in his life the moment he comes into contact with four others who are complete strangers to him. The film has been made in the most pragmatic manner and can be equated with the Bollywood super-hit film Taare Zamin Par in terms of dealing with realistic feelings and emotions.

The film seeks to go deep into the psyche of many of us who lead a nonchalant and mechanical without us being aware of it.
