M V Mohan, Appa Rao and T Ramesh Tandra are jointly producing a film titled Uthama puthiran under the banner Balaji Creations. Dhanush, Genelia, Vivek, K Bhagyaraj and Karunas are starring in this film.

Mithran R Jawahar is directing this film. While speaking about the film, he said,” Uthama puthiran will have comedy, action and love like in the films Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Kutty which I have directed. The sensational chasing and fighting sequence was shot in Tirunalveli and Chennai.

When Ashish Vidyarthi and J P comes to know that Dhanush is in love with their girl, both become furious. They call ‘ Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran and asks him to kill Dhanush. How Dhanush escapes from this murder can be seen in the chasing sequence.

Comedy, seriousness and exasperation will be the highlights of the film. Rambo Rajkumar’s protégé Rough Rajashekar has given the stunt trainings. Dhanush, Genelia, Aarthi, Srinath along with other stunt actors have acted in this sequence. The shooting of the film has been completed.”
