Lyricist Snehan has come out with an explanation that he agreed to play the lead role in Uyarthiru 420 only because the character suited him well. I would have said no otherwise, he says.

The film is about an ordinary man who aspires to become rich by adopting wrong ways. The troubles he face before achieving his mission is narrated in a racy and riveting way, he says.

Saying that he would continue penning lyrics, Snehan adds. The actor in me would never stop poet Snehan. I will happily write lyrics even as standing in front of the camera. Produced by Chandrasekar, directed by newcomer Premnath. Meghna is playing the heroine, while music is by Manisharma. I am hopeful that audience would accept me in this new avatar, says Snehan.
