Vedi’ is almost ready and only a song sequence is left. Prabhu Deva, the director, wanted to shoot this song in South Africa but because of some miscommunication the travel agency messed the trip up.

Now the whole unit is now travelling to Ladakh to have their song filmed in the ices of this beautiful cold land. Sources close to the unit also say that the reason for the cancellation of South Africa trip was that the producer did not want to spend more on this film as already the film shoot has overshot the budget. Film’s hero Vishal’s brother Vikram Krishna is the producer of the movie.

‘Vedi’ is Prabhu Deva’s fourth Tamil film under his direction, after ‘Pokkiri’ and ‘Villu’ with Vijay and ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ with Jayam Ravi. ‘Vedi’ is a remake of the 2008 super hit Telugu film ‘Souryam’. This hilarious commercial flick features Vishal and Sameera in the lead roles. The film is slated for Oct release.
